September 1993 (I didn’t do a 1994 Christmas letter)
Hello Everybody,
I know it’s not Christmas, but I felt I needed to catch all my friends up on the latest events in my life. I have moved back home to Mansfield, Mass. My computer business is doing well, and I am traveling a lot. I am never home. So, I moved back with my step father Don.
I moved over Memorial Day weekend. Oshkosh, WI to Mansfield, MA was about 1,178 miles it took me about 30 hours to do the trip (Average speed 39.26 miles per hour). I rented a Penske 24 foot truck to do the move. I want to thank Karen, John, Kevin, Jay, Ed, and Gail for all their help. They we’re so willing to help me get out of Oshkosh ….. what does this mean?
My schedule is still real crazy. First week of June in Mansfield getting settled, then two weeks in Denver & Boulder CO (Thank you Mary, Gary, Christopher, and Rebecca for letting me stay I your home.) I got to watch Christopher play in his little League Coach Pitch game. Also, I attended a couple of Colorado Rockies baseball games. Boy, those Colorado folks love their Rockies. While in Colorado, I spent some time with Faith "Bellrose" Albretch and her family, Bruce, Eric, and Katie, and their horses Cassie and Max (Max is my buddy). I never attended a horse show before, I got to watch Katie show Max, it was interesting. Not really a fast moving sport but fun to watch. Later that week Katie and I went horseback riding … I felt like one of the three stooges trying to ride Max. Faith was my babysitter back in West Roxbury when I was under 8 years old. She bought me my first record, "The Beatles 2nd Album." Faith is a celebrity in her own right … I envy that she has attended three Beatle concerts when they were on tour in the US.
On June 19 fly back to Boston, on June 20th fly to Tampa, Florida I have a client site there. I was there until July 9th. While in Florida I did get to visit my sister Reana and fer family. We went to a waterpark. My niece Sarah is a real daredevil on the waterslides. Rode a Harley. Also, spent time with Uncle Arthur and Aunt Jean.
July and August can be called the months of concert. I live walking distance from "Great Woods" it is a n outside theater. I saw Whitney Houston, Moody Blues, Oak Ridge Boys, Tina Turner, Beach Boys and America. My favorite was Moody Blues, although Tina Turner puts on a high energy show.
It’s September I’m now in Winston-Salem working at a client site. I’ll be here at least until October 15th. This job is going well. I’m not sure where I’ll be next, I do have a couple of things in the works. While in North Carolina, I have been able to spend some time with Todd & Lou Roberts. Todd was my pastor at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Anderson, IN while I was in seminary.
